Our first #SPOTLIGHT in 2017 goes to an incredible soul, the founder of the charity ‘I Heart Africa.’ A man who is here for the people and not afraid to speak his mind. He is unapologetic with his views and has made it his mission to use his platform for positive change and progressive thinking.
In September 2016, Chakabars Clarke started a GoFundMe page – UniteForAfrica to raise money to help renovate, improve and provide necessary supplies for the Meteba medical centre in Ngaba, DR Congo (in Central Africa). The campaign has had minimal mainstream press but through the generosity of the public, Chakabars and his team were able to raise over £62,000 and are almost at the £63k target.
In the video below you can see how this incredible act of kindness aims to drastically transform this small hospital in Ngaba, and will significantly improve the level of care it can provide to its population of 27,000 people.
The proof is in the pudding; an idea with the right plan can positively affect humanity.
